{01} THE IDEA

Make restaurant table management simpler, smarter and easier to use.

TableCloud is a custom restaurant booking platform designed around the way restaurants actually work. From taking bookings to managing a busy floor, we created a system that gives restaurant teams everything they need in one place.

We worked across the whole product, from naming and branding through to UX, wireframes and the custom software itself. The result is a platform that feels simple on the surface, while handling the complexity behind the scenes.

{02} THE CHALLENGE

Restaurant teams need to move quickly. The software shouldn't get in the way.

Managing bookings across a busy restaurant can get complicated fast. Tables change, bookings move, walk-ins arrive and staff need to know exactly what's happening across the floor.

TableCloud needed to work just as well on an iPad behind the bar as it does on a phone in the hands of a restaurant manager. It also needed to support multiple restaurants, different floor layouts and the day-to-day reality of managing a busy service.

The challenge was making all of that feel effortless.

{03} OUR APPROACH

We designed and built TableCloud from the ground up, combining thoughtful UX with custom software built around the needs of restaurants.

We started with the brand, naming and product direction before moving into wireframes and UX. Every interaction was considered around speed, clarity and ease of use, making sure restaurant teams can get the information they need without digging through complicated menus.

The custom platform gives restaurants the ability to create their own floor plans, manage tables, handle bookings and see what is happening across the restaurant in real time. It works across iPad and mobile, while giving operators the ability to manage multiple restaurants from one place.

This is where 628 really comes into its own. We don't just design interfaces and hand them over. Our designers and developers work together to understand the problem, shape the experience and build the software that makes it possible.

From the first wireframe to the finished product, TableCloud is a great example of what happens when UX, design and custom development are brought together by one team.
