ViewLoop did not exist before we built it. ChalkSpot is ours. So is TableCloud. We have taken the first version of a product from nothing to live more than once, including for ourselves, which is a different experience from doing it on a client's money alone.
The usual failure is not the build. It is what happens after: the agency ships version one, invoices, and leaves. The founder then needs a team for version two, which is when everything learned in version one walks out of the door.
So the MVP here is the start of a subscription, not a project with an end date. A two week sprint gets the first thing shipped; the plan keeps shipping the next thing every week after that.

Scoping it down
The most valuable thing we do. Deciding what version one does not do is what gets it live this quarter instead of next year.
Design the core flow
The three or four screens that carry the product. Done properly, because a prototype people will not use teaches you nothing.
Build it in Laravel
Laravel and Svelte, with Stripe where you need payment. A stack that any agency can pick up, so you are never held hostage.
Get it in front of people
Deployed, on a domain, with analytics, so the thing you learn from is real usage rather than opinions in a meeting.
Keep shipping
Week two onwards is the subscription: the next most valuable thing, every week, ordered by you.
