Technical SEO for sites that should rank and don't.
The unglamorous half of search: whether Google can crawl your site, read it, and load it before somebody gives up.
Free 30 minutes. No pitch, no obligation.
This year we checked the websites of 300 established companies across Leeds, Leicester and Beverley. Nearly half were still loading compatibility scripts for versions of Internet Explorer retired a decade ago. A third had analytics recording nothing at all.
One in six had no mobile layout. One in fourteen had no security certificate. None of it shows from the front, which is why nobody had fixed it.
Technical SEO is that layer. It's regularly the reason good content doesn't rank: the pages are slow, or duplicated, or not indexed at all, and no amount of writing gets around it.

This is probably you if
- You publish content and it never seems to rank.
- Traffic dropped and nobody could explain why.
- You moved or redesigned the site and it never recovered.
- Nobody has opened Search Console in a year.
Sound familiar? We'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
Tell us what's going onWhat that involves
Crawling and indexing
Whether Google can reach your pages and whether it has chosen to keep them. Sites regularly have whole sections excluded by a line in a file nobody remembers writing.
Core Web Vitals
Loading, responsiveness and layout stability, measured on a mid-range phone rather than on the machine the site was built on, which is where these tests are usually failed.
Duplication and self-competition
The same page reachable at several URLs, or forty near-identical location pages splitting their own relevance. Fixing this often means deleting pages, which works better than it sounds.
Structured data
Marking up what the business is, where it operates and what it sells, so the parts of search that use it can. Cheap, and missing from most sites we look at.
Migrations without a crater
Redirect mapping before a move rather than after. Most of the permanent traffic losses we get called about came from a launch where this was done afterwards.
Tracking that actually reports
Because a third of the sites we checked had analytics quietly recording nothing, and every decision made from that data was made blind.
“628 have been absolutely amazing to work alongside over the past couple of years. They have been invaluable in assisting us with tasks around our CMS, assisting with development and providing some incredible Wireframes, which we've been able to implement… Their knowledge around system and UI/UX design is absolutely incredible, as is their use and implementation of AI directly into external products such as ours.”

Plenty of studios can build you a website. Here's what tends to make the difference.
Design and engineering, one team
The people who name it and draw it sit with the people who build it. No handover between two suppliers, and no gap in the middle for you to manage.
